By request, I have included a couple of curled styles that I use on either myself or my daughters. This is a beachy-curled look that is very popular right now. There are many ways to make these curls (heat, Curlformers, rag or bag curls, etc.) Please remember, when you use heat… use heat protectant as well! Hope you enjoy the tutorial!

@fairyblue12 If it’s outside of the curling iron, it doesn’t damage it as much as it would if the hair was inside. Also, when you clamp it, people tend to clamp at the ends, which is the most delicate part, and you don’t want split ends from heat damage from holding it too long, so winding it outside prevents heat from being on the ends for too long. Sorry it’s kind of a long explanation, but it’s the only way I could make it make sense.

i always burn my fingers that was. i now twist strands of my hair and clamp my curler and curl in the opposite direction of the twirl.

I did this to my hair yesterday and wore it to school yesterday! I got SO many comments saying they LOVED it and asking if it was my natural hair!!!! I loved how it looked!!!:)

i have a curling iron by the same brand and size. it looks almost identical to yours, but my heat setting is different. its heat setting goes from 5 -30 ( 30 being the highest and the heat setting goes up by 5) so i dont really know what temperature it is… i tried doing this and i used the heat setting 30. the curls ended up looking like ringlets, and it looked like i used the clamp to make ringlets. what heat setting did you use? cause i think the setting i used is why it didnt look right
